Why natural fibre fits here

Small volumes, high individuality — and economical nonetheless

Special and utility vehicles are rarely built in large series. Bodies, cladding and functional parts are produced in volumes at which highly automated processes do not pay off — while requirements for individuality and function integration are high. Wetpreg moulding works economically in exactly this window.

The weight advantage feeds directly into payload, which on utility vehicles is quickly exhausted by equipment. Because many of these parts are individually designed anyway, the layer build-up can be matched to the specific load case from the start instead of adopting a standard semi-finished product.

Questions from this sector

From what volume do you work?
Small and medium series are the range our manufacturing route is designed for. We also realise prototypes and demonstrators — often as an intermediate step before the series decision.
How fast is the route from concept to part?
The route runs through concept study, design, sample part and series release. The duration depends on geometry, tooling concept and test scope — we plan that realistically together in the first conversation.
Can functions be integrated into the part?
Yes, and at small volumes this is often the greater lever than material weight: brackets, inserts, cable routing and mounting points in the part save assembly steps and individual components.
Do you also make electrical components or control units?
No. We produce structural and cladding fibre-composite parts — bodies, cladding, flaps and functional parts from natural-fibre composite. Electrical distributors, control units and control technology are not part of our programme.
